TO Senior Class 2011
FROM Mrs. Garrott and Mrs. Avant
Senior Honors Day is Monday, May 18 at 8:30 a.m. Seniors will sit as a group for this. Wear appropriate dress (church clothes).
Class day is scheduled for Wednesday, May 18, at 9:30 a.m. Be at school by 8:45. It will be held in the cafetorium. The following is considered appropriate dress:
GIRLS:
1. The color of the dress should be white.
2. Choose a conservative style that is appropriate for the occasion. Do not wear a bare shoulder, spaghetti strap (straps must be the width of 3 fingers as stated in the student handbook), razor back, or a one shoulder top. Choose a dress that covers the cleavage. The dress may, however, be sleeveless.
3. Please choose a style that compliments your body type—not too tight! (*Hint: Wear beige under garments to avoid seeing through the white dress.)
4. Shoes should be white dress shoes (no flip-flops); however, you may wear dress sandals.
5. Wear your white dress for Baccalaureate practice on Friday, May 13. Mrs. Sikes will check these on that day to make sure dresses are appropriate and guidelines have been followed.
BOYS:
1. Wear khaki dress pants (with belts) and a white dress shirt and a “tasteful” tie. You are not required to wear jackets.
2. Shoes should be dress shoes—not tennis shoes, boots, brogans, flip-flops, or moccasins. You should wear “Sunday” shoes and socks!
3. No sunglasses around the neck please, and your hair should be cut an appropriate length.
